Description

Hof HaSharon – The Hidden Jewel

Hof HaSharon (Sharon beach) as of now is still hidden and quiet site is a fun hike for the entire family.  Not exactly a beach as its name implies, Hof HaSharon is situated atop the cliffs along the beach and provides incredible vistas to the sea.  Its winding dirt path which is a safe distance from the edge of the cliffs provides enough variation to allow you to enjoy the walk as well is the view.

On one side of Hof HaSharon is the Mediterranean Sea while on the other side are rolling hills of trees and bushes.  The hike is circular (3 choices of trails) so you can enjoy the coast in one direction and let the kids scamper through the greenery and climbing trees on the way back.

Situated just north of Herzliya near Ga’ash and behind the Shefaim water park, Hof HaSharon’s relative quiet make any of its lookout points the perfect place to stop and enjoy a fun picnic above the ocean.    The area is home to gazelle and other wildlife if you are fortunate enough to come across one.  There are also many interesting birds along the cliffs, as well as interesting looking lizards that scamper between the crevices.  The hike should take around an hour or less without stopping.
